Is this only for ecommerce businesses?

This page is built for ecommerce stores — but the same service is available for professional practices and service businesses too. If your website should be bringing you new business and isn't, it applies to you.

My store is on Shopify — does that matter?

Platform doesn't matter. The audit focuses on the customer experience and conversion logic, not the underlying technology. Work has been completed across Shopify, WooCommerce, custom builds, and various other platforms. All recommendations are platform-agnostic.

I'm already spending on ads and SEO. Do I really need to invest in this too?

Think of it this way — if your website isn't converting, every euro you spend on ads or SEO is sending people to a leaking bucket. You pay to get them there, then lose them anyway. Fixing your website first means every future pound or euro you spend on traffic actually works harder. CRO isn't a nice-to-have after ads and SEO — it's what makes ads and SEO worth paying for.

Do I need to give you access to my analytics or Shopify admin?

No — just send the URL of the page or journey you want reviewed. No analytics access, no lengthy onboarding required. If you do have Google Analytics or platform analytics and you're happy to share a report, I'll factor it in — it can help prioritise which pages are worth focusing on first. But it's never a requirement.

You don't need my analytics — doesn't that mean it's just your opinion?

No. Most small ecommerce stores don't have enough traffic for analytics data to be statistically reliable anyway — a few hundred sessions a month tells you very little. What the audit applies are proven conversion principles: patterns that consistently cause drop-off across ecommerce sites, regardless of traffic volume or platform. It's pattern recognition built from years of CRO work across many stores, not guesswork. For businesses with significant traffic data, a data-led audit is also available as a custom engagement.

Some fixes will need a developer — what if I don't have one?

The Google Sheet roadmap tells you which changes need dev and which don't. Copy changes, image swaps, button text, and component reordering in platforms like Shopify or Webflow can often be done without a developer. For structural changes, the Figma board gives any developer everything they need to build without guesswork.

I'm planning a redesign or replatform — how does this fit?

Use the audit as your brief before you brief your developer or agency. It tells you exactly what to build and why, so your budget goes into the right changes from day one rather than being spent on guesswork.

What's the difference between the Page Audit and the Full Funnel Audit?

The Page Audit covers one key page — typically a product page, collection page, or landing page. The Full Funnel Audit covers your entire customer journey from the entry page through to checkout, including a journey map showing your current funnel versus the improved version and a multi-page prototype.
